2008 Fair Volunteers Sign up now to participate in Southern California’s flagship celebration! Become a volunteer at the 2008 L.A. County Fair. Fairplex is seeking energetic and dependable individuals to share their time and talents at the 2008 L.A. County Fair (Sept. 5 - 28, closed Mondays and Tuesdays.) It’s an experience that’s sure to provide a lifetime of memories and an exciting chance to both support your community and make some great new friends! As a L.A. County Fair volunteer, you’ll be our official ambassador, representing both Fairplex and the Fair, and not just on the grounds, but throughout the community as well. We rely on our ambassadors to inform the public all about the wonderful things we do here at Fairplex. There are so many exciting opportunities for Fair volunteers, and we’re flexible – we’ll gladly work around your busy schedule. So whether you work full-time, you’re a student or a senior citizen, we can find a spot that fits your interests and your calendar. Do you love children? Supervise some of the 100,000 schoolkids that visit the Fair each year as part of the FairKids Discovery Club field trip program. Are you passionate about art? You might like to share that passion with others as a docent at the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts at Fairplex. You can also volunteer at The Flower & Garden Pavilion, Winter Wonderland, or at one of the many other Fairtime attractions.
