Guest Services

Automated Teller
PFF Bank & Trust operates eight ATM machines on the grounds. ATMs are located inside Fairplex 4, in the Fairplex Park Budweiser Grandstand, inside Yellow and Blue gate entrances, the carnival and at the entrance to Plaza de las Américas. Fair ATM machines are also available to users of the Interlink and Cirrus systems at the PFF Bank & Trust branch on the grounds near the Clocktower.

 

Auto Service
The Auto Club of Southern California (AAA) provides complimentary service vehicles in parking lots outside the Fair's Yellow and Blue gates to assist motorists with car troubles. Service vehicles are available from mid-afternoon until one hour after the Fair closes and may be reached by calling (909) 623-3111. The Auto Club also has an information center at the Fair in the grandstand pavilion facing Floral Lane.

 

PFF Bank & Trust branch at the Fair provides limited banking services and will cash checks with proper customer identification every day of the Fair. The bank also has ATM machines available to users of the Interlink or Cirrus systems. Located near the Clocktower and open during the Fair's regular operating hours.

Children's Services
Diaper changing areas are located in Buildings 4, 5,6,7 and 8.

 

Calendar Of Events
A calendar of events held at Fairplex throughout the year is available to the public for $15. Subscription includes 12 monthly issues of the calendar. Requests should be directed to the Fairplex communications and public relations department, P.O. Box 2250, Pomona, CA 91769. Checks are payable to Fairplex.

Coat and Package Check
Clothing, strollers and small items may be left at the Pomona Kiwanis check stand, located at ground level of the grandstand along Broadway under the bright pink canopy. Lockers are also located inside Blue and Yellow Gates. A nominal fee is charged.

 

Courtesy Items
Food and beverage concessionaires provide free 7-oz. cups of drinking water upon request. Some commercial exhibitors provide carrying bags and other promotional items free upon request. Rest stops and seating areas are located throughout the grounds.

 

Disabled Access
Accommodations have been made on the grounds, in buildings, at concession stands, the grandstand, and restrooms to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Accessible parking is available in all public lots. Special needs should be called to the attention of security or guest services personnel.

   

Disabled Transports
Carts will patrol the Fairplex accessible parking areas outside the Yellow Gate and will transport people with mobility impairments to the entrance gates from parking lots on Opening Day and Saturdays and Sundays. Service is provided by Special Courtesy Transport.

 

Film and Basic Items
Film and other items, including aspirin, sunscreen and a variety of baby items, may be purchased at various gray film kiosks around the grounds.
   

Fire/Police/Security
The Pomona Police Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department maintain substations on the grounds throughout the Fair. All emergency concerns should be directed to security or guest services personnel. Security personnel are on duty 24 hours a day during the Fair, both on the grounds and in the security office, located near the main carnival entrance. Fair security phone numbers are (909) 865-4350 and (909) 865-4600 (Gate 1).

First Aid
A first aid dispensary is located outside of the clubhouse end of the Fairplex Park Budweiser Grandstand (across from the Plaza of the States Park along Birch Street at Broadway). There is also a first aid station on the second level of the grandstand open during inter-track and live racing. The Event Medical Services, Inc., staff is on duty during Fairplex events throughout the year and during the following hours at Fairtime. The office may be reached at (909) 865-4370:

Freeway Sign
The electronic Fairplex message center located along the San Bernardino Freeway is used for informational and promotional purposes for Fairplex and its events and businesses, as well as select messages from the City of Pomona. Electronic messages are not for use by outside or unrelated organizations. Sponsorship panels below the message area are available for lease by calling (909) 865-4042.

 

   

Guest Services
Guest services representatives are on duty during Fair hours at booths around the grounds to respond to Fairguests needs, questions, comments, concerns, or problems. Centers are located at the Clocktower, Palms Marketplace, Blue and Yellow gates. Guest Services representatives can be found daily at Guest Services Booths throughout the Fairgrounds. Lost and Found
Lost and found is located in the police office in the security building near the main carnival entrance. The office can be reached at (909) 623-3111, ext. 5389. Items unclaimed after Oct. 1 will be taken to the Pomona Police Department at 490 W. Mission Blvd.
   

Lost Children’s Center
Trained personnel are on duty daily from the Fair's opening time until one hour after closing to assist children who are separated from their parents. Parents are encouraged to seek assistance from security or guest services personnel immediately upon discovering their child has been separated from their group, or they may visit the lost children's center near Green Gate for assistance. Children should be reminded of the color of the gate they entered and made aware of guest service centers. Families should make preparations for what to do or where to meet if they are separated. The Clocktower is a traditional Fair meeting place, but it is not a designated lost children's center. The Lost Children’s Center is open daily and located near the Green Gate, (909) 865-4125.

Metrolink Train Service
Metrolink offers special service to and from the Fair, stopping at the Fairplex platform located between Fairplex Drive and Arrow Highway near Pomona Raceway. The service runs between San Bernardino and Los Angeles Union Station, stopping multiple times at the Fair. Fairplex provides transportation between the Fairplex Metrolink station and the Yellow Gate pedestrian entrance. Maps and Directions
Maps of the grounds may be obtained at guest service centers (information booths). Maps are included in the Fair program and are posted at several locations on the grounds. Guest service personnel will provide directions to locations on the grounds.
Message Center
Personal messages cannot be broadcast over the Fair's public address system, but written messages may be left at the Clocktower Plaza guest services center.
   
Micro Radio
Daily updates about activities at Fairplex may be heard within a three-mile radius of Fairplex on 1570-AM. The station is advertised on the Fairplex electronic freeway sign.
Package Deliveries
Packages delivered to Fairplex are received through Gate 5 on White Avenue and are available for customer pick-up. Call Receiving/Delivery supervisor to make arrangements, (909) 623-3111 ext. 5164.
   
Programs
The official commemorative Fair program with daily schedules of events is available free of charge at guest service centers. A map of the grounds and highlights of Fair activities are included. Programs are also available by mail. Daily schedule information is available in alternate formats upon request. Address requests to the Fairplex communications department, P.O. Post Office
Mail and packages can be sent from Fairplex through the U.S. Post Office satellite location in Fairplex 4 at the Sycamore center doors. Packages delivered to Fairplex are received through Gate 5 on White Avenue.

Pets
Pets, except for guide animals for guests with disabilities, are not allowed on the fairgrounds at any time.

 


School Program (FairKids Discovery Club)
All schools in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties are invited to participate in the FairKids Discovery Club. School groups go on a self-guided tour of designated educational areas of the Fair. Reservations are required. The schools program is on weekdays only.
Public Address System
The "Voice of the Fair" is used for informational and emergency purposes only. The P.A. system cannot be used by the public to page lost people. Messages may be left at the guest service center, located at the Clocktower. Emergencies should be reported to security: (909) 865-4350.
   
Speakers Bureau
Speakers from Fairplex are available to address groups about the L.A. County Fair, the Sheraton Suites Fairplex Hotel and the many shows and events happening at Fairplex throughout the year. Speakers are available free of charge for appearances to such groups as schools, churches, clubs, civic or community organizations, hospitals, companies or media interviews. The employees or representatives who make up the speakers bureau come from every area of the organization. Requests for speakers should be directed to (909) 865-4262.

Seniors
Seniors, ages 60 and older, can purchase Fair tickets for $12 on weekends, $8 on weekdays and for just $5 on Wednesdays, which are Senior Citizen Days.
 

 

Trams and Trolleys
Trams and trolleys are available in parking lots and inside the grounds for guest transportation at no charge. Trams outside the gates provide transportation to and from the admission gates and parking lots. There are three trams operating inside the grounds--between Yellow Gate and the Flower and Garden Pavilion, , Presented by Los Angeles Newspaper Group —between Flower and Garden Pavilion and Clocktower--between Clocktower and FairView Farms. The Fair has introduced new Neighborhoods marking the activities and events taking place around the grounds. See your daily program for listings. Trams operate until one hour after the Fair closes.

Telephone Devices for the Deaf (TDD)
Fairplex provides Telephone Typewriter (TTY) service for the hearing impaired at pay phones located at the Clocktower, on Magnolia Street, outside of the Fairplex Park Grandstand entrance, across from the security building and in Fairplex buildings 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
   
Taxi Cabs
A Yellow Cab stop is located outside Green Gate, where there is a 24-hour courtesy phone to the Yellow Cab dispatcher.
Telephone Information
Pre-recorded information about the Fair and all events and services at Fairplex is available by calling a dedicated 24-hour information phone line. All information has been recorded in both English and Spanish. General Fair information, as well as information about horse racing at Fairplex Park, other events at Fairplex, inter-track wagering, the Sheraton Suites Fairplex hotel, directions to Fairplex and how to subscribe to the monthly Fairplex calendar of events, is offered. Wheelchairs and Strollers
Rates
Wheelchairs and strollers are available for rent at Green, Blue and Yellow gates. Wheelchairs are $15, wagons are $15 and strollers $10 per day. Electric wheelchairs are available for $50. Coin lockers are available for $1.
