Stroll through the history of Rock ‘n Roll with this interactive attraction.

 

The Studio Experience: guests can be challenged in the “One Hits Wonders’” trivia, see highlights and interactive displays featuring the early days of the recording process, visit the album cover gallery and vintage rock and roll poster walls, take pictures in the photo op stations, and check out the British Invasion Timeline and Puzzle display

 

The Concert Experience features memorabilia by Michael Jackson and other music stars, a video music wall featuring “Thriller” and other music videos, fun facts with trivia wheels, a How We Listen display with the earliest audio devices and how they transformed over the years, a listening station focusing on live performances, and the Rock Concert Photography Gallery

 

The Playing Experience lets guests play the drums, strum a guitar and attend “Rock College” where interactive demonstrations will be held

 

Standing in the Shadows of Motown: A History of the Funk Brothers features an examination of the musicians and session players that made up the house band for most of Motown’s hits

 

A Tribute to Soul Train focuses on the musical history of the longest-running, nationally syndicated program in television history, featuring a never-before-seen collection of 56 rare photographs of the biggest names in Soul Train music and honoring the late Don Cornelius, the host and creator of Soul Train 

 

A History of A&M Records takes a look at the first “independent” record label’s L.A. success story within the history of rock and roll 

 

The EMP/SF Museum is an overview of the “Experience Music Project,” a unique west coast version of the Cleveland Rock and Roll Museum with an extensive collection of guitars and has many unique  and fun activities that center around rock music 

 

Latin Percussion features a unique vision of World Music that offers a wide variety of percussion and drum support instrumentation 

 

Art Laboe and L.A. Radio offers an overview of the L.A. Rock and Roll DJ radio scene, focusing on personalities such as Art Laboe, the Real Don Steel, and Machine Gun Kelly

Rock of Ages also features a tribute to Dick Clark and his impact on American music and an exhibit that incorporates contemporary artists from the ‘90s to today- featuring such pop and rap artists as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Eminem, Jay-Z as well as other artists who have had an impact on recent musical history.
