Parades

Click here to apply online     Frequently Asked Questions  Parade Calendar

Dear Parade Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2012 L.A. County Fair Parades, which will take place every day of the Fair, August 31st – September 30th (closed Mondays, except Labor Day, and Tuesdays).

We are proud to offer parades that are exciting, unique, and diverse and include various elements that honor our different communities, heroes, organizations, and Fair attractions. Weekday parades will begin at 5 p.m. (participants must arrive by 3:30 p.m.) and Saturday, Sunday and the Labor Day parades will begin at 1 p.m. (participants must arrive by 11:30 a.m.). Click here to view a calendar that will help you decide which date is most appropriate for your group.

Please fill out and return your parade application as soon as possible to ensure your spot in the L.A. County Fair Parades! Please be sure to read our FAQ’s as it contains valuable information that can answer many of your questions. We suggest you contact us after sending your application to confirm that we received it as we are not responsible for lost or misdirected forms. Confirmations, detailed information, maps, and ticket information will be sent to you during the summer. Participating groups are limited to a maximum of 25 people and a maximum of one parade vehicle in order to accommodate as many groups as possible. Any exceptions (such as marching bands) must be approved in advance by the Entertainment Department.

As always, our parades are designed to create a visual experience for our guests: costumes, a float, an elaborately decorated vehicle, flags, and creativity are highly encouraged for all participants! Please note that if you are not bringing a parade vehicle, you must be prepared to walk the entire parade route (approximately one mile).

Thank you again for your interest in becoming a part of our parade program. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to reviewing your application soon as we plan for the BEST L.A. County Fair ever!

Thank you,

The Entertainment Department
