Welcome to Fairplex. This media guide includes information about Fairplex, Barretts Equine Limited, Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center, Event Production Solutions, Cornucopia Foods, Finish Line Sports Grill, The Learning Centers at Fairplex, Fairplex/University of La Verne Child Development Center, Los Angeles County Fair Association, L.A. County Fair and other events held at Fairplex.

Working media are invited to visit Fairplex’s communications and public relations office at any time during the year. Digital media kit, press releases and photos are available for media covering the Fair and other events at Fairplex.

Materials are available for events other than the Fair or not produced by the Fair Association. We are available to assist with contacts and to help gather materials from outside event producers.

The Fairplex communications and public relations staff will assist with, set up or participate in media interviews at your convenience.

The communications office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the year and from 8 a.m. to closing daily during the L.A. County Fair.

Internet
Fairplex is located on the Web at fairplex.com. Information about Fairplex is available on the website, along with press releases, photographs, blogs, Twitter and Facebook information. Included are schedules of events, which are updated regularly. Fairplex is happy to email information and to assist with other requests.

Credentials (L.A. County Fair)
Media credentials will be issued to working press, radio, TV and photojournalists assigned to cover the L.A. County Fair.  Generic press passes, industry affiliation credentials (club cards) or lapel pins issued to racing media are not good for admission or access to restricted areas. All requests for credentials and passes must be made in writing at least 48 hours in advance;, including will call requests, to autry@fairplex.com or faxed to (909) 629-2067. Media will call requests will be left at will call at Gate 1 on McKinley Avenue, next to the administration building.

Credentials (Other Events)
Each individual event promoter handles media credentials for events other than the Fair. Policies and procedures for obtaining and using media credentials vary with each event. The Fair Association respects the media policies of each outside show promoter, and will make every effort to assist media in the normal practice of doing business. Daily Fun Guides
Daily Fun Guides, shopping and food guides are available free to the public at guest service centers and in the administration building.

Media Entrance
Media representatives must present bar-coded Fair media credentials or regular tickets for scanning at admission gates.

Media Parking
Media representatives should park in the lot specified on the parking authorization credential. Media without a parking credential should park in any regular public pay lot.

Photographers
Video and still photographers are welcome to take pictures in any area of the grounds (with prior permission). By California Horse Racing Board regulations, photographers are not allowed to take pictures of patrons at pari-mutuel windows. Photographers must be pre-approved by track stewards when photographing races. Use of tripods on the grounds and in buildings is strictly forbidden.

Press Box
The Fairplex Park press box is located at the top of the grandstand. Working space in the racetrack press box is limited and reserved only for working media and Fairplex staff. Only accredited media representatives are allowed in the press box, excepting special arrangements. Telephones, copiers, computer lines and fax are available for media use.

Radio-Television
Many locations on the grounds may be used as sites for radio or TV broadcasts with prior approval from the communications department. The communications department will also assist with parking, onsite transportation, set up and talent.
