Michael Ortiz was named Director in 2011, Vice Chairman of the Board in January 2012 and Chairman of the Board in 2014. He is serving as chairman of the board and interim president and CEO of the LACFA until a permanent replacement is named following Jim Henwood’s retirement in Now retired, he was the fifth President of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, a position he held since August 2003. He serves on several board committees including By-laws, Visioning and Pomona Blue Ribbon Committee. He continues in an advisory role at Cal Poly Pomona on agricultural and education. He is currently teaching a leadership course and the Palm Desert campus of Cal State University San Bernardino.

Cid Pinedo was named Director in 2012. He is the President of Hope Through Housing. He is the Chairman of the Governance & Nominating and By-laws committees. He serves on the Visioning and La Verne Blue Ribbon committees. He is a member of the Fairplex Child Development Center (CDC) board and serves on the CDC Finance committee. He is active in the community serving on the board of Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and Bright Prospect. He is the past chairman of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, secretary/treasurer of the San Gabriel Children’s Center, and supervisory committee member of Chaffey Federal Credit Union. He served on the City of La Verne Planning Commission from 2004-10 and was elected twice by his peers to serve as chairman. He has a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s Seminary and a doctorate in organizational leadership from University of La Verne.

Ronald Bolding was named Director in 2015. Bolding is President and CEO of Inter Valley Health Plan one of the region’s leading Medicare Advantage health plan for 8 years. He serves on the Audit, Finance and Compensation and Investment Committees. He is an active community member and serves as a board member for Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity, Pomona Valley Community Services and Congregational Homes, Inc., CNB Inland Empire Advisory Board and Community Senior Services. He served 28 years in the United States Navy. He is a recipient of the Pomona Valley Boys & Girls Club Achievement Award and the Pomona Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.

Linda Bosserman-Piatt was named Director in 2016. She is a medical oncologist and president, Wilshire Oncology Medical Group Inc. She served on the board of directors and chaired the Breast Health Committee for the California Division of the American Cancer Society and lectures professionals and the public on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment with an emphasis on women's health issues. She was the first recipient of Inland Hospice's "Humanitarian of the Year" award and YWCA Women of Achievement honoree. Bosserman-Piatt is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley, Stanford Medical School, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School Oncology Fellowship program. She is a former faculty member at Stanford and Harvard Schools of Medicine.

William Fox was named director-elect in 2011 and director in 2012. He is the former president of William Fox Group and William Fox Homes Inc. located in Ontario, CA. He serves on a number of Fairplex committees including visioning and leadership development and as vice-chair of FairKids committee. He is a member of Claremont School District 7-11 committee and Claremont School Asset Advisory committee. Bill is a graduate of University of Southern California with a degree in business administration. He is a resident of Claremont.

Heidi Hanson was named Director in 2014. Hanson is the Finance & Administrative Manager with Rain Bird International. She serves on the Audit committee and is the Vice Chair of the Finance and Compensation committee. She is on the Fairplex CDC Finance committee and a member of the CTEC agriculture advisory committee.

John Landherr was named Director in 2015. Landherr is President of A-Z bus Sales, Inc. He serves on the Finance and Compensation, Governance and Nominating, and Visioning committees. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He serves his community as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at the Let It Be Foundation, board member of the Chino Hills Aquatics. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The United States naval Academy and an M.B.A. in finance from Texas A&M University.

Christina Loza was named Director in 2015. She is an attorney and managing partner with Loza & Loza LLP. Loza. She is the Chair of the Audit committee and serves on the By-laws and Governance and Nominating committees. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola Marymount University and graduated from Loyola Law School. She is involved with National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and is the immediate past president of NAWBO-CA and the current president of the NAWBO-CA Education Foundation. She is on the board of the California Small Business Association, Orange County Bar Association’s Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee and Mommy Esquire Committee.

Stephen Morgan was named Director in 2014. He is the President of University of the West in Rosemead. He serves on the Hall of Fame and La Verne Blue Ribbon committees and is a member of The Learning Centers at Fairplex (TLC) board and serves as Chairman of the TLC Fund Development committee. From 1985 to 2011 Dr. Morgan served as President of University of La Verne. He serves on a number of boards including Hillcrest Retirement Community, Bright Prospects and Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.

John Solomon was named Director in 2010. He is owner and President of Liquorama in Upland. He serves on the Finance and Compensation, Governance and Nominating committees, and is a member of The Learning Centers at Fairplex (TLC) board. He is also is a member of TLC Fund Development and Governance and Nominating committees. He is Chair of Chino Hills community committee & serves on the Upland community committee. Also serves on PVHMC foundation board and is a member of Upland Chamber of Commerce. He writes monthly wine columns for Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and Inland Empire Magazine. He served as a judge in the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits competition. He is an AYSO soccer coach.

Richard Martinez was named Director in 2017. Since 2009, Richard has been superintendent of Pomona Unified School District, which serves 30,000 students in the cities of Diamond Bar and Pomona. Richard has focused on closing the achievement gap for inner-city students and under his leadership, PUSD has record acceptances from notable colleges and Ivy League universities throughout the United States. He is a recipient of the prestigious Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award for his tireless advocacy for children’s rights. Richard is a graduate of Cal State LA and the University of La Verne, and is a sought-after expert in the field of urban education. He serves on a number of boards including Shoes That Fit, Pomona’s Promise and is board chair for the Los Angeles Urban Preschool.
