Pomona, CA – Aug. 14, 2012 – The L.A. County Fair starts 24 days of pure fun on Aug. 31, opening just in time for Labor Day Weekend, with new interactive exhibits, high-flying entertainment and a tribute to our country’s greatest innovators, all in addition to the classic Fair favorites - food, concerts, animals, shopping and more. With so much to see, guests can start planning their trip now with the new L.A. County Fair mobile app.
Upon arrival to the Fair, avoid the lines and purchase your tickets online using the free L.A. County Fair app, available in the App Store (iOs) and in Google Play (Android). You can also see the daily event schedule to be sure you don’t miss a thing, or check for future events so you don’t cram everything into one visit. Also, keep your eyes out for daily L.A. County Fair promotions and special vendor deals.
Getting lost trying to find your favorite Fair food? Or maybe you’re craving to purchase the new Magic Whisk or more ShamWows? The L.A. County Fair Mobile App will lead the way with GPS directions throughout the fairgrounds. Not only will it find your favorite vendors, but it will give an overview of each of the exhibits – from stingrays to monkeys and bears, oh my!
Don’t leave the fun to yourself, share it! Through the new mobile app, you can connect with the Fair on Facebook, chat with Fair insiders on Twitter, watch the latest on YouTube and Pin your favorite photos on Pinterest.
Delivered from Xomo Digital Inc., which has provided apps for South By Southwest, the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and many more, this new app is one of several ways the L.A. County Fair is enhancing the Fair experience and making it easier to get the most out of each trip.
The 2012 L.A. County Fair opens Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. and runs through Sept. 30, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, except Labor Day. For more information check out the L.A. County Fair mobile app, visit LACountyFair.com, Facebook.com/LACountyFair, or chat with us on Twitter @LACountyFair.
