CHEFS WIN BIG AT L.A. COUNTY FAIR COMPETITION!
Anthony Jacquet, chef at the Restaurant at Getty Center, Jason Mattick, chef at Max Restaurant, and Shawn Pham, chef at Sona Restaurant, won the top prizes Sept. 10 in the finals of the L.A. County Fair’s second annual Chefs on the Rise competition.

EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY AT THE 2006 L.A. COUNTY FAIR
The high-flying K-9s in Flight are a team of championship Frisbee dogs trained by John Misita, self-described president and chief pooper scooper of the organization. They are delighting Fairguests with their leaping, yipping, Frisbee-snatching acrobatic entertainment three times per day at the 2006 L.A. County Fair.

BOSTON BEER CO.S BOSTON ALE TAKES BEST OF SHOW
American cream ales, German-style pilsners, bock beers, porters, stouts, exotic coffee-flavored beers and French Belgian-style saisons all had a competition category in the 2006 L.A. County Fair’s Commercial Beer Competition. Thirty-six breweries submitted nearly 200 brews for judging.
