L.A. COUNTY FAIR, POMONA ROTARY RAFFLE WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Three Southern California residents walked out of the closing day of the L.A. County Fair with a set of keys, a full tank of gas and plans to explore the Last Frontier. Winners of the Fair’s and Pomona Rotary’s third annual Classic Car raffle were announced Sept. 30. Proceeds from ticket sales, which sold for $20 each, benefit the Fairplex Child Development Center, the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts at Fairplex, the Fairplex Education Foundation and numerous Pomona area non-profits. Taking the grand prize silver 1968 Corvette Convertible was Ed Lizarrasas of Chino Hills. He said he plans to spend a lot of days driving out to Palm Springs with his wife. Ralph Rosenstein of Temecula won the Alaskan cruise for two. Cheryl Toford of Riverside was the lucky winner of a $1,000 gas card.
