Independence Day rolls around annually and families attend KABOOM! — Fairplex’s patriotic 4th of July fireworks, monster trucks and extreme motocross extravaganza. The excitement looms and will explode on Friday, July 4, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Fairplex Park grandstand. KABOOM! is presented by Toyota, Coca-Cola and Budweiser Select.
Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, the premier fireworks company in the nation, will perform the honors, awing and inspiring attendees with its magical luminosity. The patriotic-themed panorama will feature dazzling aerial and ground displays.
Before the fireworks’ burst the FMX riders soar through the air with the greatest of ease, and the monster trucks create a flurry and consciously raise adrenalin levels. Riders include Billy Walls, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Jeff Griffins and Grant Teal. Monster Trucks come to tear it up; the assignment goes to Bounty Hunter, Natural High, Jurassic Attack, Iron Outlaw and Maniac, all big, bad and noisy--badder the better, in fact.
This year’s theme is Let Freedom Ring. The family event has been a sell-out every year since 2002, proving the popularity of its unique and eclectic presentation.
Admission for KABOOM! is $19.50 for reserved seating, $17.50 for trackside bleachers and $14 for general seating. Ages 2 and younger are admitted free.
KABOOM! tickets go on sale at Fairplex’s credentials office, (909) 865-4070 and online at fairplex.com beginning Monday, May 12. They will be available right up to show time or until the event sells out.
