If you love dogs, you won’t want to miss the L.A. County Fair’s all new Bark Park: A Canine Adventure. When we say everything has gone to the dogs, we’re not just woofing. There’s a doggie day spa featuring a little aromatherapy grooming and puppy pawdicures, designer dawg houses in a variety of architectural styles, and even a pool in the shape of a dog bone where your pet can do the dawg paddle. Learn how to make gourmet dog treats and shop for the latest haute doggie couture. Creative dog lovers can even learn how to make dog clothes, beds and accessories in the Doggie Sewing Room. Bark Park also offers information on dog obedience classes and adoption for would-be dog parents.
There’s canine entertainment, too. The Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show features rescue dogs that have learned some amazing tricks. Check out the nation’s best Frisbee-catching dogs as they race nose to nose in the famous “Extreme Canines Triathlon” and the Olympic high-jump challenge.
Stay long enough to catch the Soccer Collie Family Fun Show where you can participate in some dog vs. human competition, head to toe, paw to hand in an all-out battle of speed and agility. Note: Humans are the goalies!
Don’t miss the PawPrints Photo Competition gallery where winning photographs are on display.
