There’s only one Independence Day celebration and Fairplex has it. KABOOM!, Fairplex’s patriotic 4th of July fireworks, monster trucks and extreme motocross extravaganza, is the most exciting event in Southern California. Get ready, Saturday, July 4, beginning at 8 p.m., in the Fairplex Park grandstand to rock, roll, rumble and feel red, white and blue.
This year’s theme is Red, White & Boom. Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, the premier fireworks company in the nation, will perform the honors, awing and inspiring attendees with its magical radiance. One of the largest fireworks celebrations around, the patriotic-themed panorama will feature dazzling aerial and ground displays.
FMX riders delivering the colossal speed, moves, jumps and spins are the amazing Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Scotty Stephens, Julian Dussea and Jeff Griffins. And then the monster trucks, those dusty big boys, appear in force - Bounty Hunter, Iron Outlaw, Unnamed & Untamed, Nasty Boy and Half Pint. Drivers expertly navigate these behemoths, weighing between 9-11,000 pounds, perched on 66-inch tires, kicking up some impressive dust and excitement levels exponentially.
The family event - stimulating, exhilarating, invigorating and definitely high-energy - appeals to all ages, as evidenced by its sold-out audience every year since 2002. KABOOM! is presented by Toyota, Coca-Cola and Sauza Tequila.
Admission for KABOOM! is $19.50 for reserved seating, $17.50 for trackside bleachers and $14 for general seating. Ages 2 and younger are admitted free. A variety of food and drink stands will be open during the evening.
