(Los Angeles, September 21, 2009) –Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars will rely on their notorious skill and smooth moves when they hop from the ballroom to the barnyard to send an udderly important message: children should drink milk.
The nation’s children are scoring low on drinking milk and scoring high on being vitamin deficient. Maksim and Mark have teamed with Choco Milk to change that, and are literally squaring off in a hands-on competition to do so. At noon on Sunday, September 27 at the Los Angeles County Fair, the professional dancers will star in a Choco Milk hand-milking challenge! Partnering with two new leading ladies – Bessie and Bonita, the California Dairy Cows – Maksim and Mark will apply their best hand-milking choreography to lead their lady to express the most milk!
Choco Milk, a leading children’s nutritional supplement for milk, is hosting this celebrity milking challenge as part of its Choco Milk Matters to Kids Tour. The traveling campaign engages children in a series of mental and physical activities that teach nutrition awareness. Children learn that by drinking Choco Milk, a milk modifier with 16 vitamin and minerals, and by exercising, they can gain the ability to develop their body, mind and spirit.
For three weeks, the Choco Milk Matters to Kids Tour will visit Los Angeles-area fairs, festivals, non-profit youth organizations and retail locations. The tour debuts September 27 at the L.A. County Fair. The celebrity milking challenge initiates the tour’s Los Angeles stint. The tour will then travel to other major metropolitan cities, including San Diego and Phoenix.
As champion dancers both Makism and Mark know the importance of drinking milk and getting all the vitamins and minerals they need to ensure their bodies are strong and healthy. Whether its future champions of the dance floor, the sports field or the classroom, Maksim and Mark want to inspire kids to be healthy and fit.
“Mark and I are going to compete against each other in the Choco Milk Milking Challenge so that that kids and their moms and dads become informed. Kids are getting really low scores on drinking milk and are coming up short on getting the vitamins and minerals they need, and that’s no way to become a champion,” said Maksim.
The popular professional dancers believe their spirited milking competition will score high with fans and shake up the downturn in children’s milk consumption, and each man vows to bring the moves necessary to waltz away with the Choco Milk Milking Championship Trophy with its golden dairy cow topper!
