Three local high schools will vie for a coveted spot in the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade
Friday, Oct. 2 finals of the 2009 L.A. County Fairís High School Marching Band competition. The three finalists, Diamond Bar, Kaiser and Upland high schools,will be judged in the 5 p.m. parade by members of the
Tournament of Roses Parade Music Committee.
With announcement of winning band at 6 p.m. on Redwood Street (outside of Fairplex 4)
2011 Rose Parade President Jeff Throop will award the trophies to the winners.
In addition to marching in the Tournament of Roses, the bands will compete
for top prizes of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 for first through third places respectively.
