L.A. County Fair KaraokeFest 2009 winner Abraham McDonald of Gardena, was announced today as the winner of the Karaoke National Challenge presented by Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah Winfrey staff was on site at the L.A. County Fair to record the competition Saturday, Sept. 5 and visited other sites around the country documenting competitions that resulted in the ultimate naming of McDonald as grand prize winner.
The show airs Friday, Nov. 13 announcing McDonald as the winner, who walks away with a recording contract and $250,000.
The L.A. County Fair competition is presented by Karaoke Scene Magazine and has been a part of L.A. County Fair programming since 2006. This is the first year that Oprah’s competition has come into play.
