The Ludwick Family Foundation is a munificent benefactor and active participant in the community in which it resides as witnessed by many, including the Fairplex Education Foundation and the programming of its Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC). A recent $100,000 grant by the Ludwick Family Foundation will greatly benefit the hands-on educational programs that CTEC provides local students in a number of technical fields. The Ludwick Family Foundation is known as a strong proponent of education and the contribution to CTEC is a tangible testament to its wish to strengthen future programs such as those CTEC offers. The grant will provide materials and equipment for the array of CTEC classes being offered, training from computer hardware to automotive parts. The classrooms provide hands-on instruction taught by certified teachers in the areas of ceramics, design, merchandising, sewing, fabric design and water technology, treatment and conservation. Many success stories, including full time employment and additional college classes, have been achieved by students participating in the classroom instruction and with the continued aid of donors more will come.
