The Association of Handcrafted Automobiles (AHA) is pleased to announce our 31st Annual Fun Under the Sun Car Show will be held April 24 at Fairplex in Pomona. This is the first change in venue since the club first began displaying members' cars in the picnic area of Knott’s Berry Farm back in 1979.
The event will be a one-day show in front of the NHRA Museum and will take advantage of the car-centric culture of Fairplex along with the world famous Pomona Automotive Swap Meet which is scheduled for the following day – Sunday, April 25. The synergy of both events on the same weekend offers car enthusiasts, as well as loyal manufacturers, and vendors the opportunity to participate in the largest handcrafted auto show on the West Coast AND the largest automotive swap meet on the same weekend.
According to AHA President Dean Hornbacker, “For 30 years, the club has enjoyed the environment and facilities provided by Knott’s Berry Farm, but as with all things in life, there comes change. For our show to grow, we needed a new venue. With Fairplex’s history with the custom car and racing industry, we believe we’ve found a good match. We’re looking forward to developing a long relationship with Fairplex and the NHRA Museum.”
