The finest show dogs in the country will gather at the Mission Circuit Dog Show at Fairplex Memorial Day weekend, May 28-31. Admission to the four-day event is free. More than 160 breeds will be represented with more than 8,000 dogs competing throughout the show. Best of Show is awarded to winners each day. The Mission Circuit Dog Show, a longtime Fairplex treat, sets up shop in several buildings and grounds locations, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Four different consecutive shows are featured, indoors and out. Dogs and owners from all 50 states and several countries including Japan, Mexico and Canada will be represented.
The American Kennel Club will be on site providing information about rescue dogs, pet adoptions, dog care and to provide valuable tips on choosing the best pet for individuals or families based on needs of different breeds. The sanctioned show includes dog grooming and training tips, breed information, tours, agility and rally trials.
New this year is a cash award presented to the best bred-by-in show puppy, in the categories of Best Puppy in Group and Best in Show, Friday and Best Bred-By-In Show, Best Bred-by in Group and Best in Show, Saturday. Vendors and exhibitors will be selling their K-9 creations, including accessories, grooming supplies and nutritional products.
The show is sponsored by Pedigree and is supported by Antelope Valley, Los Encinos, San Fernando and San Gabriel Valley Kennel Clubs.
