Expect the unexpected at the L.A. County Fair in addition to all the fun things you know and love. It’s filled with Pure Surprises and Pure Diversity. The 88th anniversary of the Fair opens Labor Day weekend, continuing through Oct. 3, with attractions, entertainment, shopping and the best eats you’ll find in L.A. County (at least for 23 days!) – all at an affordable price.
New for 2010 is an exciting, fascinating and educational attraction - Our Body: The Universe Within. More than 30 human specimens and organs will be displayed showing the fascinating interworking of the human body; and Western Days & Rodeo Nights comes to FairView Farms with a plethora of wild and wooly western events; Esmeralda’s Traveling Circus joins the lineup each day with fun and interaction with guests; Jurassic Planet returns with an amazing array of animatronics dinosaurs, a paleontologist, fossil digs and a few surprises too. FairView Farms, presented by McDonald’s, is quite simply the best farm you’ll ever see with animals, shows, demonstrations and in-house ambassador Sky Shivers meeting and greeting guests while providing entertaining and informative insight. There’s even an Urban Garden to inspire and entice healthy eating habits.
We’ve got A Pirate’s Life; Mojo’s Jungle featuring Mojo’s Monkey Mania; America’s Kids with a medieval trip to A Time Long Ago, presented by King Taco; a Gypsy Camp with sword swallowers; and Ray Cammack Shows carnival, the best in the land with 70 spectacular rides and more than 40 games of skill; an amazing Flower & Garden Pavilion that will stimulate the senses with its floral beauty, themed Celebrate Mexico; and the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts* that will take visitors From the Industrial Age to the Computer Age . . . The Shopping Place Express Shuttle, presented by Jeffrey Scott® Fine Magnetics, will transport shoppers to the dedicated shopping area from Yellow Gate and back for Pure Convenience. More than 600 vendors will be onsite with 1,045 spaces filled with new must-have items and returning favorites - a perfect opportunity to get a jump on the holiday shopping list. The End of Summer Concert Series will definitely rock you. You’ll find the biggest names in entertainment including Selena Gomez And the Scene, Darius Rucker, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Teena Marie, Heatwave and Lenny Williams. The lineup presents some extreme monster truck and motocross action, R&B and a MARIACHI USA® Fiesta. This 19-night lineup, presented by Toyota, is Pure-Not-To-Be-Missed.
Perhaps the greatest attraction at the Fair this year is the value. There are so many discounts and promotions offering reduced ticket pricing, you can’t afford NOT to come! There’s McDonald’s Wednesdays with an unlimited carnival wristband for $20; Ralphs Any Day tickets, for just $10 for adults and $6 for ages 6-12, with an exclusive unlimited ride carnival wristband offer; $5 after 5 p.m. presented by Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa; Ralphs Food Drive Fridays, with free Fair admission in exchange for five Ralphs signature canned products to be donated to Los Angeles Food Bank; and opening Saturday through Monday discounts on admission, food and carnival rides throughout the day.

Under the direction of the Los Angeles County Fair Association, Fairplex is home to the L.A. County Fair, the largest county fair in the world, as well as The Learning Centers which encompasses Fairtime Learning, The Child Development Center, The Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC), the Junior Fair Board, and the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts.
