Renee Mendoza of San Gabriel has been named director of human resources by the Los Angeles County Fair Association effective Monday, June 20. She was chosen from a large field of impressive candidates to fill the position vacant since February 2011.
Mendoza has a notable list of credentials, most recently as human resources manager at Pharmavite, LLC in San Fernando where she provided HR leadership and support to nearly 400 employees. Her prior work experience includes serving as HR manager at Penske Motor Group in El Monte, Hill’s Pet Nutrition in Los Angeles and Nissin Foods (USA) Co., Inc. in Gardena.
Her accomplishments include the successful execution of company-wide initiatives, providing strategic guidance, developing and implementing compensation programs and safety training in addition to dealing with and successfully resolving employee relations issues.
Mendoza is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a master’s degree in business administration; Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a bachelor of arts degree in history. She also holds a professional designation in Human Resources Management from University of California Los Angeles.
Renee resides in San Gabriel with her husband and their children. They enjoy traveling in between their children’s school and sports schedules. Renee also enjoys reading and hiking in her free time.
