Tunnel to Towers Run Commemorates 9/11 5K run at L.A. County Fair Honors First Responders As part of the Stephen Still Tunnel to Towers Run, the L.A. County Fair is proud to host the only Los Angeles leg of the national event. Tunnel to Towers honors the courage and dedication of 9/11 first responders, our military men and women and their families. Runners and walkers are still needed. To register for Tunnel to Towers, visit www.tunneltotowersrun.org. The run at the Fair will be Sunday, Sept. 11 beginning at 8:45 a.m. Registration is only $30 and includes t-shirt, race bib and admission to the L.A. County Fair on Sept. 11. The Tunnel to Towers Run is just one of the many tributes to 9/11 heroes that the Fair will have during A Weekend for Heroes Sept. 10-11. Both days active and retired U.S. military, reserves and emergency service personnel, with ID, and one guest pay $1 each for admission. The Fair will donate proceeds to USA Cares, which provides programs and assistance to military personnel. On Sunday, Sept. 11, there will be a Weekend for Heroes Parade For more information, visit www.lacountyfair.com.
