Pomona, CA – Kids ages 6 to 12 from around Southern California can run off some holiday excitement for FREE at the Holiday Half Marathon Penguin Waddle 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Fairplex. The event is hosted in partnership with Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and supported by the non-profit 100 Mile Club, whose mission is to challenge kids to run 100 miles over the school year.
All spaces for the Penguin Waddle 1 Mile Kids Fun Run are expected to fill up. Kids must register online in advance by visiting www.RunHolidayHalf.com. The Kids Run will start in waves at 10 a.m. with participants running in their respective age group. The course will start and finish inside Fairplex, home of the L.A. County Fair.
The Holiday Half Marathon events expect 7,000 participants over the weekend. Along with the Penguin Waddle, the Holiday 5k walk/run is on Dec. 10 and the Half Marathon is on Sunday, Dec. 11.
