Fairplex Park is pleased to announce accreditation by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association Safety & Integrity Alliance, completing, meeting and exceeding the esteemed Alliance Code of Standards. By successfully completing the accreditation, Fairplex Park joins the ranks of 25 racing facilities representing more than 70 percent of the North American pari-mutuel handle that are fully accredited by the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance.
The NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance is a standing organization whose purpose is to establish standards and practices to promote safety and integrity in horseracing and to secure their implementation.
Barretts and Fairplex Park General Manager Kim Lloyd said of the designation, “We’re very pleased to be an accredited member of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance and with the results of the accreditation. Safety is and always has been our top priority.”
Fairplex Park welcomes its 75th season of horse racing concurrent with the annual L.A. County Fair, Sept. 6-22. The historic track has the distinction of welcoming seasoned veterans and introducing new race fans to the sport during its annual 13-day meet. The 2013 L.A.
