LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION NAMES NEW ASSOCIATION MEMBERS
 

The Los Angeles County Fair Association has named a total of 17 new association members to its prestigious board. James R. Kostoff, chairman of the board of the Los Angeles County Fair Association welcomes the new association members, their impressive and diverse backgrounds and applauds the positive contributions that they will bring to the Association.

The Association consists of 50 active members, including an 11-member board of directors. Directors are elected by and from the Association annually. New Association members are elected by the board based on their outstanding contributions to the community.

Recently appointed community leaders include:

Felice Loverso, president of Casa Colina, Inc. He is involved in the community serving on the boards of the Boy Scouts, Loma Linda, University of Irvine, and Western University. He has a doctorate from the University of Colorado. He and his wife, Denise, reside in Upland.

Michael Kunce has been the president and CEO of Armstrong Garden Centers for 25 years. He attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, majoring in civil engineering and horticulture. He is a member of “The Executive Committee” and business advisor to both University of La Verne and Pierce College. He resides in La Verne with his wife and two sons.

Rodri Rodriguez is the president and CEO of Rodri Entertainment Group, an Irdor Inc.company. The international entertainment production company was founded in 1976. She hosted her own radio talk show on KFI-AM from 1995-1998 and is currently a highly sought after motivational speaker. She is a native of Havana, Cuba, and resides in Studio City.

Said Rodriguez, “With the demographics of Los Angeles constantly changing and growing, I am excited to assist the Fair in expanding existing programs and developing new ones to keep up with our growth.  Then of course, I am extremely excited about cotton candy, corn dogs & corn on the cob!”

Victor Franco is the regional state affairs manager for Miller Brewing Company. He is serving on the Workforce Investment Board and is chair of the Performance Based Assessment Committee. He is a member of the State Board of Trustees for the California Science Center in Exposition Park and on the Advisory Boards of University of Southern California, Whittier College and Pepperdine Un
