In honor of the men and women who serve and protect our country, the L.A. County Fair is offering discount admission on Tuesday, Sept. 16 to members of the military, law enforcement officials, fire fighters and paramedics. The Fair is scheduled for Sept. 12-28 at Fairplex in Pomona. Each active duty military, military reservist, emergency services or law enforcement personnel and one guest will be admitted to the Fair on Sept. 16 for $1 each with valid I.D. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. For each regularly paid admission on Sept. 16, $1 will be donated to the American Red Cross. After the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy, due to the generosity of Fairguests, the Fair collected and donated $251,000 to the American Red Cross during the 2001 L.A. County Fair “We are happy to have the opportunity to salute our military and make a contribution to the American Red Cross at the same time,” said Dale Coleman, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Creative Programming. For more information about discount programs, visit the Fair’s Web site at www.lacountyfair.com or call (909) 623-3111.
