The California State Employment Development Department will open an employment trailer beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 2 to help interested parties obtain employment at the L.A. County Fair. The Fair is scheduled for Sept. 12-28 at Fairplex in Pomona.
EDD placed more than 3,500 people into jobs during the 2002 Fair. More than 3,000 jobs will be available again this year.
Applications will be accepted for set-up, sales, food service, ride operation and other Fair-related jobs. To apply for employment at the L.A. County Fair, you must bring identification documents to establish your legal right to work in the United States. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. The EDD trailer, which will be located at Gate 7 on White Ave., will be open everyday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 2-28.
