Community members from throughout 18 local cities will be honored at the L.A. County Fair during Community Days. Each year the Fair and local newspapers recognize “heroes” nominated from each respective city. A special presentation for each hero will be held at The Stage in Park Square at the end of the Community Days parade, which begins at 5:30 p.m. each weekday. Each hero will receive a special award from the L.A. County Fair and Community Day partners the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Community Days and heroes for 2003 are: Sept. 12, Pomona, Mario M.
