What: A B1 Bomber from Edwards Air Force Base will fly over the L.A. County Fair in celebration of the Fair’s High Flying Fun! exhibit, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of powered flight
When: Friday, Sept. 12, 6:30-6:45 p.m.
Where: Will fly over Brackett Field in La Verne, adjacent to Fairplex, at 500 feet into “max thrust climb” straight up in the air just above Fairplex 7A, the building that houses the High Flying Fun! exhibit
The B1 is a long-range strategic bomber, capable of flying intercontinental missions without refueling, then penetrating present and future sophisticated enemy defenses. It can perform a variety of missions, including that of a conventional weapons carrier for theater operations. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the backbone of America’s long-range bomber force.
