WINNERS OF 2003 L.A. COUNTY FAIR BEST OF ALL JAM & JELLY CONTEST NAMED
The judges have decided and the winners have been named in the Best of All Jam & Jelly Competition for the 2003 L.A. County Fair. Taking lst place in the Jam competition was Kathy Thompson of Rancho Cucamonga for her Golden Dinosaur Egg Jam; Lisa Carter of Lakewood won 2nd place for her Ambrosia Jam; Third place went to Georgia Olson of Upland for her Raspberry/Boysenberry jam. All winners received rosettes. A Judges Special Award was given to Aileen Mason of Covina for her Ginger-Tinted Peach Jam. She received an award and a rosette. In the Jelly competition, the first place winner and also Best of Show was Linda Glaue of Chino for her entry of Rose Petal Jelly; Kathryn Chambliss of San Dimas won 2nd place for Blushing Peach Jelly; Christy Prentice of Apple Valley secured 3rd place with her entry of Plum Jelly. All winners received a rosette. The L.A. County Fair was Sept. 12-28 at Fairplex.
