The Foundations at Fairplex held a Celebration Reception on Tuesday, Oct. 28 to thank the friends and associates of Fairplex’s three education foundations for their participation and support. The group was feted in the Millard Sheets Gallery.
The 70 guests in attendance mingled, watched a video that showed the educational programming at Fairplex and participated in a drawing that awarded a thank you gift from each of the three foundations.
The Foundations at Fairplex consist of three distinct not-for-profit organizations: Fairplex Education Foundation, The Millard Sheets Gallery Foundation and Fairplex Child Development Center Foundation. The foundations’ goal is to further enhance the existing educational opportunities at Fairplex by raising funds through grants and charitable donations.
The Child Development Center Foundation is chaired by Los Angeles County Fair Association Director Emeritus Molly Johnson; Millard Sheets Gallery Foundation is chaired by Los Angeles County Fair Association Director Emeritus the Honorable Thomas Nuss; Fairplex Education Foundation chaired by Los Angeles County Fair Association Director Emeritus Don DesCombes.
The foundation fundraisers held during the recently completed L.A. County Fair were all very successful thanks to the generosity of supporters and participants.
