Kampgrounds of America Inc. recently honored the Fairplex KOA/RV Park and presented superintendent Chuck Thompson with the 2003 President’s Award for its outstanding facility and operation. Fairplex also received a Gold Rating from KOA in 2002 for outstanding quality and management.
The President’s Award is given to KOA Kampgrounds that receive exceptional scores on their quality assurance facilities review, for being a positive part of the KOA system and for receiving high scores on their annual camper satisfaction survey from their own camping guests. As part of this award, winners will receive special signs, flags and nametags for their campground and staff to denote their status as a KOA President’s Award winner.
Thompson said, “It’s an honor to receive these designations and we will continue to maintain the highest standards and quality of presentation and service for our guests.”
The recreational vehicle park at Fairplex was constructed in 1986, and has been a strategic partner with Kampgrounds of America Inc. since 1998. An agreement through 2008 was recently signed. The site features 185 pull-through sites, a mini market, a swimming pool, spa, Kamping Kabins, laundry facilities, showers and other amenities. Thompson says the park is looking forward to a busy summer and a busy September when the L.A. County Fair makes its annual 17-day appearance at Fairplex in Pomona. Fair dates are Sept. 10-26.
