Entries for the National Beef Belles Ladies’ Lead Class at the L.A. County Fair at Fairplex in Pomona are due Aug. 31. The contest will showcase young ladies ages 9-21 with a cattle or beef cattle background. The Fair runs Sept. 13-29.
No entry fee is required to enter this contest. The ladies will wear attractive outfits of their choosing, using leather clothing, trim and accessories. Judging will take place Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in Ring 2. The Southern California Cattlewomen will present the winner with a leather show halter with an engraved silver plate. Premiums will also be offered.
