This is not your basic gift wrap. On Thursday, May 27, two of the 2004 L.A. County Fair General Motors Yukon SUVs will receive a custom wrap job that will, upon completion, be a traveling four-wheeled, four-color, Fair smile-provoking billboard. As the official vehicle of the L.A. County Fair, the General Motors vehicles will be wrapped and visible before the Fair and prominently displayed during the Fair. This is the fifth year that General Motors Corporation has been a valued L.A. County Fair sponsor and that the vehicles, on loan for the run of the Fair, have been wrapped in the “special Fair blanket.” The wrap on the vehicles is consistent with the Fair’s advertising which will center around the popular farm animals at home in a bright red barn, fashioned after the popular FairView Farms “The Big Red Barn” that made its debut in 2003. The vehicles can be seen in the Fairplex parking lot, at community and civic events, and all over southern California’s roads, highways and byways. So, when you see a friendly farm menagerie peering out of a bright red barn driving about town, smile, wave and remember that the L.A. County Fair will make its annual 17-day appearance from Sept. 10-26. For more information on the L.A. County Fair, visit the Web site at www.fairplex.com. ch
