A VARIETY OF CONTESTS WILL BE OFFERED IN THE JUNIOR RABBITS AND CAVIES DIVISION AT THE 2002 L.A. COUNTY FAIR
This year’s L.A. County Fair at Fairplex in Pomona will offer a variety of contests in the rabbits and cavies divisions.The exhibit runs Sept. 20-24.The Fair runs Sept. 13-29.
Entries will close Sept. 3 for the Open and Junior Rabbits and Cavies competition.Entries may close sooner if capacity is reached.A $2 entry fee per class is required for the open division and a $1 entry fee for the junior division.The fees must accompany the entry form and the entry form must include the breed, variety, sex, age, leg band/ear tattoo number, division and class, along with the social security number and signature of the exhibitor.

A Rabbit Skillathon for youth will be held on Sept. 21 at There is no entry fee to participate in this contest.Participants will be tested on their basic rabbit knowledge.Participants will be divided into three classes: senior (ages 15-18), intermediate (ages 12-14) and junior (8-11). Trophies and ribbons will be awarded for various honors.
The Rabbit and Cavies Showmanship contests for youth will also take place on Sept. 21.Rabbit Showmanship will take place at and Cavy Showmanship will take place immediately after Cavy Judging.There is no entry fee to participate in this contest.Trophies will be awarded for various honors.
