Fair officials announced today that The Isley Brothers concert, which was scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11, has been cancelled due to the illness of vocalist Ronald Isley. “It is our understanding that Ronald Isley suffered what is being described as a minor stroke during a visit to England earlier this month,” said Dale Coleman, Fairplex vice president of sales, marketing and creative programming. “It is anticipated that he will make a complete recovery. We wish him well. The Isley Brothers are truly one of the all-time greats and we have been honored to have them perform at our Fair on a number of occasions.” Those who have purchased tickets for The Isley Brothers concert are entitled to a full refund. Return tickets purchased at Fairplex to the credentials office no later than Friday, Sept. 3. Those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster should call or email Ticketmaster for a full refund no later than Friday, Sept. 3. Entertainment for Saturday, Sept. 11, is undetermined at this time. The Isley Brothers concert tickets will not be honored. Fair officials apologize for this unfortunate yet unavoidable situation.
