For Immediate Release
THE L.A. COUNTY FAIR WILL FEATURE UNIQUE ARTS AND CRAFTS

Unique handcrafted items will fill Redwood Street at the L.A. County Fair during the Arts and Crafts Festival Weekends, Sept. 13-15, 21-22 and 28-29.  The Fair runs Sept. 13-29, at Fairplex in Pomona.

Crafters and artisans from throughout the state will give Fairguests a little taste of California when they display, demonstrate and sell their original art pieces during the 2002 Fair.

For originality, dress up a bottle of Merlot like a golf player or a guitar-holding Elvis.  Loose Screws Sculptures did just that and it promises to make your wine bottle the center of attention at the next wine and cheese party.  These metal sculptures adorning wine bottles look like medieval suits of armor that have been shaped into different characters such as musicians, sports players or other professions.  Loose Screws Sculptures make great centerpieces for the dinner table or wonderful gifts for the wine connoisseur.

Giraffic Park Art will bring a unique look to any room.  Let your imagination take you on a safari adventure when you purchase these colorful giraffes ranging in size from 1 to 10 feet tall.  Based in southern California, Giraffic Park Art features Rhodesian Teak and Mukwa Wood giraffes.  These high-quality sculptures can be custom made to your personal specifications.

Touch of Paradise will sell handcrafted and assembled Coconut Palm indoor lamps made of solid rattan.  Standing 6 ½ feet tall and 4 ½ feet wide, the Coconut Palm lamp comes with three coconuts that light up to an equivalent of 100 watts of light.  These novelty lamps can be purchased in four different colors and are perfect for any Hawaiian, jungle or beach themed room.

Additional booths will sell handmade soaps and lotions, paintings, wood-crafted items and an assortment of crafts for everyone to enjoy.
