ARCADIA, CA, May 4, 2005...America’s Family Pet Expo, a giant nonprofit animal entertainment and education festival, is coming to Fairplex in Pomona, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 24, 25 and 26.
In its 16th year as the world’s largest pet and pet product expo, this fun-filled event presents over 1,000 animals in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations, a giant sale on pet products at special show prices, and lots of interactive attractions for pet lovers.
Animals on hand include nearly 100 breeds of dogs, plus hundreds of cats, birds and fish, llamas, reptiles, pigs, rats, mice, goats, rabbits, miniature horses, and more.

Pet Product SuperStore - thousands of pet products are on sale to the public at bargain prices. Get show specials on the newest items to keep your pet healthy, happy and safe ranging from organic food and nutrition products to toys, bedding, leashes and collars, pet clothing and jewelry, pet carriers, grooming products, pet care and maintenance, training equipment, publications, pet-related arts and crafts, and even clothing and gift items for pet lovers.
Kids Korner - new this year at America’s Family Pet Expo, this special attraction offers numerous participatory activities for children pre-school through grade school age;
Splash Dogs sponsored by Precise Pet Products - an exciting “dock diving” contest to see which dogs can dive the farthest into a giant pool of water;
Friskies for More Experience - an entertaining stage production featuring trained cats performing tricks, and an interactive presentation for visitors to better understand their cat’s world;
Valentine’s Performing Pigs - these potbellied pigs entertain their audiences with amazing tricks and skills including playing basketball, soccer and bowling;
Joe Krathwohl’s Exotic Bird Show - this popular show from the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas includes a juggling macaw, an eagle and a rare Black Cockatoo who plays basketball;
Warren Eckstein - animal expert from NBC’s “The Today Show,” broadcasts his KRLA radio program “The Pet Show” live from the Pet Expo on Saturday, June 25 from 11am to 3pm.
