KABOOM! changed its format in 2002 and has been a sold-out house ever since. This year the monster trucks, monster big air freestyle motocross daredevils and, of course, the spectacular fireworks presented by the premier fireworks company in the country, Pyro Spectaculars of Rialto, return.
KABOOM! is presented by Fairplex, Coca-Cola, Budweiser Select and the City of Pomona. Special thanks to Ontario International Airport and M.K. Smith Chevrolet. This crowd-pleaser is the only show of its kind amongst a flurry of fireworks events scheduled for Monday, July 4.
The crowd won’t lack for action beginning at 8 p.m. when the motorcycle daredevils approach the ramps and dazzle all in attendance. Get ready for thrill-givers Billy Walls, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Dave Demangos and Jeremy Lufk. When the dust clears the roar of the engines signals the appearance of Bounty Hunter, the reigning world champion of monster trucks, joined by Natural High, Iron Outlaw, Unnamed Untamed and Nasty Boy.
A spectacular patriotic fireworks show themed “Lights of Freedom” will be the grand finale with skyrockets, mid-level fireworks and lower-level sets choreographed to a musical program.
Ticket prices are $19.50 for reserved box seats, $16 for trackside bleachers and $12 for general admission seating. Ages 2 and younger are admitted free. General parking is $6 and preferred parking is $10 at Gate 17 on Fairplex Dr. Gate 17 will open at 5 p.m. For the safety and enjoyment of guests there are no ice chests, alcoholic beverages, fireworks, cans or bottles allowed inside the facility.
