A portion of White Avenue in Pomona will be closed to traffic beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. during KABOOM!, the Fairplex Fourth of July fireworks spectacular on Monday, July 4. KABOOM! is presented by Coca-Cola, Budweiser Select and the City of Pomona with special thanks to Ontario International Airport and M.K. Smith Chevrolet.
The street will be closed between Arrow Highway and McKinley Avenue during the fireworks show and the following clean-up period. Vehicles will not be allowed to park on this section of White Avenue at any time during the festivities, and there is also no parking on residential streets surrounding Fairplex. Vehicles can park for $6 at Fairplex through Gate 17 on Fairplex Drive throughout the evening. Parking gates at Fairplex open at 5 p.m.
KABOOM! action gets underway at 8 p.m. with Big Air Freestyle motocross, followed by Monster Trucks including Bounty Hunter, the reigning world champion of monster trucks and culminating with the monster grounds and aerial fireworks extravaganza presented by Pyro Spectaculars of Rialto. The grand finale fireworks display is themed “Lights of Freedom.” The choreographed patriotic presentation will last approximately 20 minutes.
Reserved box seats are $19.50, trackside bleachers are $16, and general admission is $12. Ages 2 and younger are admitted free.
