Greetings Southern California media! The Goodguys 8th Pomona Nitro Nationals is one of the world’s premier vintage drag racing festivals. We’re in hopes you can find a spot for it in your weekend events calendars for the weekend of August 5-7, 2005. Information follows:
Top Fuel – 250 mph front engined top fuel dragsters will shake the earth at the Goodguys 8th Pomona Nitro Nationals, August 5-7 at Pomona Raceway. Over 400 racers are expected to turn out for the three day event which features drag racing, a car show, manufacturer’s exhibits and a used auto parts swap meet.
The Wing – The mighty “Winged Express” Fuel Altered roadster of Al “Mouise” Marcellus will make several exhibition runs throughout the weekend at the Goodguys 8th Pomona Nitro Nationals, August 5-7 at Pomona Raceway. The Southern California based Winged Express was originally driven by the late Willie Borsch. Mike Boyd of El Segundo now handles the driving chores.
FC2 – Nitro burning nostalgia Funny Cars will thrill racing fans with long smoky burnouts and 230mph top speeds at the Goodguys 8th Pomona Nitro Nationals, August 5-7 at Pomona Raceway
