The popular Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum hosts an array of classic cars during the L.A. County Fair, Sept. 9-Oct 2 (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Live thoroughbred horse racing returns Sept. 9-26, closed Tuesdays only.
While open all year, the museum gets additional traffic during the Fair. Presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, the 28,500-square-foot museum features an array of vintage and historical racing vehicles. Car enthusiasts will not know where to start as they venture into the museum which houses memorabilia dating back to more than 50 years of American motor sports history. With a wide variety of items such as artifacts, paintings, helmets, driving uniforms, trophies and photographs, visitors will find themselves spending a large amount of time in the museum as they inspect each item. Entrance is $1.
