A sold-out show at the Hollywood Bowl of the MARIACHI USA® Festival led to the creation of MARIACHI USA® FIESTA. MARIACHI USA® FIESTA, featuring acclaimed guitarist Jose Feliciano, will perform at the L.A. County Fair End of Summer Concert Series, presented by Toyota, on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m.
Rodri J. Rodriguez, international award-winning producer, created this 90-minute exciting and fast pace show featuring Mariachi musicians performing Mexico’s most traditional and popular tunes with contemporary arrangements.
Featured this year are Texas’ own Mariachi Los Arrielos del Valle and special guest the legendary Jose Feliciano, who has played with some of the world’s top symphony orchestras including the London Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In addition, there will be ballet folklorico dancers in colorful costumes. MARIACHI USA® Fiesta is an event that is sure to have people of all ages on their feet dancing and singing along.
The show will also have a lot of audience participation, such as the “Viejitos” (old folks) dance where the dancers dress up like old people and go to the audience to invite people to dance with them. As a special treat everyone who dances with a “viejito” will receive a necklace of colored beads.
