A spicy, creamy rendition of chicken enchiladas took the blue ribbon in the Hunt’s Tomato Products Perfect Mexican Meal contest Sept. 17 at the L.A. County Fair.
Marilyn Cruz of La Verne created the enchilada dish. She received a rosette and a gift basket filled with Hunt’s products.
Second place went to April Burton of Rowland Heights for her Mexican layered casserole. Arthur Galindo of Chino took third place with his pork green chile burrito.
Contest rules required participants to use at least one can of Hunt’s tomato product in their recipe. The contest was judged by cooking instructor Eviolet Guerrero and culinary consultant Gretchen Tostrup.
