POMONA, Calif. -- Pomona area residents who wish to learn more about traveling by motorhome will want to mark March 20 on their calendars. That day, Family Motor Coach Association will sponsor a seminar titled "Selecting The Right Motorhome For Your Needs" at Fairplex (home of the L.A. County Fair). Family Motor Coach Association is an international organization for motorhome owners. The Cincinnati-based Family Motor Coach Association will be in town for its 75th International Convention, which will take place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, March 20, 21, 22, and 23, at Fairplex.
Part of that convention will be a sizable motorhome exhibition. A vast array of the latest motorhome models and samples of bus conversion vehicles will be assembled at the fairgrounds on those days. Major motorhome manufacturers and dealers from across the United States and Canada will display models in all styles and sizes. There will be approximately 800 display vehicles in all, some of which will be models of custom-made handiwork.
Viewing hours for the motorhome displays are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, March 21, 22, and 23.Beginning on Tuesday morning, March 22, it will be possible to view RV components and accessory products as well. Booth viewing hours also are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The "Selecting The Right Motorhome For Your Needs" seminar will be part of a special "Motorhome Preview" that will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20. This afternoon will include a special viewing of the motorhome exhibits, along with musical entertainment. The seminar will be held from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Fairplex Building 7 (Seminar 7). Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of panel members who are well versed in the motorhome lifestyle. The fee for viewing the displays and enjoying the daytime entertainment is $7.00 per person; children 12 and under admitted free with an accompanying adult. Admission to the "Selecting The Right Motorhome For Your Needs" seminar is included in the same price. A Daily Passport that provides admittance to the exhibits, seminars, and daytime and evening entertainment is available for $45.00 per person. The admission fee on Monday covers admission on Tuesday as well. Public parking (self parking) will be available at Fairplex Gate 9 off White Avenue. The fairgrounds parking fee is $8 per day; $16 per day for RVs. VIP parking is available at the Sheraton Suites for a cost of $10.
