Calling all quilters and crafters. The Pomona Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival is heading into Fairplex March 9 – 11 with an amazing array of exhibitors and hands-on workshops.
Supplies for needle art, scrapbooking, tole painting and more will also be available. Participate in one of the make-and-take workshops or attend a free seminar. Make-and-takes are on a first come, first served basis. The workshops are free but may require a fee for supplies. Among the workshops are Needle Felting Magic, with participants making a 3-D cherry using wool and felting needles, and Adorable Parlor Pets, which includes making a small stuffed animal. Among the free seminars will be quilting and sewing classes and one on Japanese weaving. Don’t miss any of the exciting new products, techniques or educational ideas.
Hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults. A $1 coupon is available at the festival’s Web site, www.rustybarn.com. Children 10 and younger are free. Tickets are good for all three days.
