A Fairplex tradition, the Mission Circuit Dog Show returns over the long Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29, with an event for canines, owners, and spectators.
More than 145 breeds will compete for top dog over four days of trials and tests. The dogs and owners arrive from all over the United States, Canada and Mexico to be a part of one of the largest dog shows in the country.
Sponsored by non-profit organizations including San Gabriel Valley Kennel Club, San Fernando Kennel Club, Los Encinos Kennel Club and Antelope Valley Kennel Club, all proceeds will be donated to a variety of worthy causes.
Police dog demonstrations will also be part of the action, along with fly-ball demonstrations, agility demonstrations and scent hurdle relay races. Agility and obedience trials will take place each day along with a new rally competition.
Dog-related merchandise, free gifts and dog food samples will also be available. Hours for the event are 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. General admission is $6, seniors $4, ages 6-12, $3 and free for ages 5 and younger. Parking is at Gate 17 on Fairplex Drive.
