KABOOM! the Fairplex 4th of July fireworks spectacular welcomes back its guests, its monster trucks, its big air freestyle motocross and its monster fireworks as the event celebrates 20 years of patriotism, friends, families and fun. KABOOM! presented by Toyota, Coca-Cola and Show Ready, has been a sold-out nighttime affair since 2002.
Tickets to KABOOM!, the only event of its kind in Southern California, are on sale now at the Fairplex credentials office and at www.ticketmaster.com. Prices remain the same as in 2005—$19.50 for reserved seating; $16 for trackside bleachers; $12 for general admission; free for ages 2 and younger. The festivities get underway at 8 p.m. and culminate with a fantastic fireworks presentation at 9:15 p.m.
Freestyle motocross gets the crowd going with unbelievable highflying stunts performed by a group of riders that includes Billy Walls, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Nixey Danielson and Todd Potter. Just when the adrenaline begins to settle, the roar of the behemoth trucks fills the stadium and the dust flies in response to the big wheels rolling in. Favorites to fans of the sport are appearances and one-upmanship delivered by Bounty Hunter, Natural High, Obsession, Unnamed Untamed and Nasty Boy.
Pyro-Spectaculars, the leading fireworks company in the nation, will again choreograph and stage a stunning show to patriotic music befitting the theme “The Spirit of America.” Pyro-Spectaculars has been with KABOOM! since its inception in 1986.
