The 68-year legacy of one of the oldest and most revered wine competitions continues to earn international acclaim. Now, to capture its full breadth and increase its value to wine consumers and the public, the L.A. County Fair Wines of the World competition will be known as the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition. The Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition will take place on May 16 - 18 at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif.
This is a new identity for a strong tradition that has brought together a prestigious panel of wine experts to judge wines from around the world. The new Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition imprimatur, we believe, will enhance public and commercial awareness of our wine competition and its winning entries, allowing the competition and its participants to take advantage of increased consumer interest in wine.
The new look and feel of the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition will also reach the 1.4 million Fairguests expected to visit the 2007 L.A. County Fair, which runs from Friday, Sept. 7 - Sunday, Sept. 30 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays), featuring winning wines at the Fair’s newly designated Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Marketplace.
A new Web site was recently launched, www.lawinecomp.com, which offers the latest news and all the information on the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition.
