All major departments at Fairplex collaborated to restructure Hinds Pavilion into Finish Line Sports Grill, a restaurant and satellite wagering facility. It has since become one of the local region’s most popular sports-viewing and dining facilities. Finish Line Sports Grill has hosted many special community events such as the Five City Chamber Mixer and the Dennis Fee Memorial Golf Tournament Banquet. This new facility hosted a spectacularly successful Kentucky Derby event in 2009 and runs weekly promotions such as Taco Tuesdays and Karaoke Wednesdays. Live bands appear on Friday and Saturday nights, creating a daily dining and entertainment option for the whole community.
