This course addresses the basic concepts of customer service and its importance to the success of organizations. Instruction includes examination of customer service and customer relations as it applies to project management and wholesale and retail sales, the nature and demands of professionalism in working effectively to meet the needs of culturally and generationally diverse customers. Students will also demonstrate knowledge of common customer complaints and the service solutions for preventing or resolving complaints.
Students enrolled in Hospitality 1 & 2 will look at the hospitality industry from many perspectives. Classroom and hands-on experiences in this class will include sales and marketing, customer service, exploration of all around hotel services and positions and event organizing and planning. This course may include a hands-on internship at events or facilities at Fairplex.
